When I was heavy, I wasn’t a fan of theme parties because I wasn’t a fan of drawing any extra attention to myself and my body.
Now? Bring on the theme parties.
Last night, Ashley and Bo threw a fun ugly sweater party. A few months ago, I vowed I’d actually buy one in time for her party. Last night, I ran out to K-mart half an hour before I was supposed to be at Ashley’s in search of an ugly sweater. But there was nothing ugly enough.
So, instead, I bought a sparkly red shirt and wore it with antlers and plaid pants and just rocked Cheesy Christmas as my theme.
OMG RED VELVET CUPCAKES.
Ashley wasn’t wearing an ugly sweater either, but she did nab this one from someone at the party.
Hey guys. Cute shirts. Wrong theme.
Wait? What? You don’t think plaid pants are cool? Oh…
I was shocked that this lady was out at SantaCon all day and still rallied to get to Ashley’s.
Gia got her top at a thrift shop and thought it qualified as ugly. Nope. Sorry, Gia.
Just like last year, it was a ton of fun. Ashley and Bo throw a good party. Maybe next year I’ll actually get an ugly sweater.

I always thought it would be a great idea to open an ‘ugly Christmas sweater’ kiosk in the mall during the month of December. I think you could make a killing off ugly Christmas stuff (ties, sweaters, pants, etc).

I still have not been to an ugly sweater party. Every year, I keep telling myself that I am going to throw one, just so I can see how ugly of sweater I can find….but alas I keep forgetting! Yum – red velvet cupcakes!

I love ugly Christmas sweaters! I had a party with that theme a few years ago, but was able to just dig through some of my mothers old clothes to find something that went PERFECTLY. Ugly sweaters used to be quite popular
